New leadership w Layton
Just because an election is here doesn’t mean we stop doing important community work here in Brant Riding.

Now it is as important as ever to be involved with our community in meaningful ways.  This will not be an advertising campaign style election for us in Brant.  Instead we offer a community development style campaign filled with engagement and hard work.

It’s the best way to continue reaching out and the best way to speak with our community about where we need to go in Brant Riding to have a better quality of life and work.

One of those topics we will be focusing on in the coming election — and with your vote the coming years — is action on the Environment. Stewardship of our environment and our resources is vital for the sake of our economy, our future generations and our health.

The Brant NDP is one of the many proud sponsors of the 2011 Earth Hour Event taking place at Harmony Square in Brantford this Saturday, March 26th beginning at 8pm.  Myself and members of the Brant Riding Chapter of the Young New Democrats of Canada will also be hosting a table at the event so please stop by we’ll be happy to discuss the environment and some of the ideas we have presented below and during the entire course of our campaign.

Thank you so much Brant Riding and a big thank you to the youth volunteers and other organizers who make great events like Earth Hour happen in our community.

Also that afternoon we invite all of you to visit our campaign office at 230 Murray St from Noon – 1:30pm for a Free Community BBQ.

On a personal note we will also have cake to celebrate my 30th Birthday. Hope to see you there.

There is a lot to do.

Let’s work together to get it done,

-Marc Laferriere
