Hello to all in Ward 2 and the County of Brant as a whole. This month I am eschewing my regular blog to focus solely on COVID-19 related information that is pertinent to folks in the County of Brant.
I have been doing regular updates on my Facebook page trying to share information as I hear or read it from verified municipal sources.
Very thankful for our community, our wonderful staff and a very special and specific thanks to our paramedic and health services teams. The County and our partners are incredibly busy trying to provide essential services during this state of emergency and focused on helping to stop the spread of the virus.
Because of these unique and challenging circumstances and more complications expected daily I ask that residents refrain from contacting staff for items and issues that could be deferred into the future when we are no longer in a state of emergency and our buildings and non-essential services are back in normal operation. Now is not the time to call regarding non-emergencies like a parking complaint without a safety issue attached or minor noise emanating from an essential service during regular business hours for example.
Please stay indoors if you can and practice physical and social distancing best practices if you have to go out. Please call your neighbours and check in from afar on folks you know may be vulnerable.
We are all in this together. And we will get through this. But we have to work together.
